There are thousand of website submission services offering to submit your website to thousands of search engines for a price.
This is another cost that you do not need to pay and do they really submit your website to thousands of search engines?
Search engines will find your website automatically through incoming links from other websites and you can help the seo spider to index your website with a seo sitemap.
I explained how to get your website submitted to Google, MSN and Yahoo in the seo sitemap section.
I only ever submit websites to these 3 search engines. Google, Yahoo and MSN when I tell people this they reply with something like this….....
"What about AOL, that is a big search engine you could be losing out on thousands of visitors”
Yes it is a big search engine, but they get their data from Google.
They don’t send out spiders. As long as Google find you then so will AOL.
AOL may change the way results appear on their search engine results pages, but they have the exact same data as Google. This happens in a lot of cases.
Like I said before Google is the biggest and quickest search engine about, you may have already been found and listed, so why pay to be submitted.
You can do the following in either Google, yahoo, MSN or ASK to see if your website has been found.
I suggest you start with Google. Bring up Google by clicking here and type in………
site:your-domain.com
………..into the search box.
This will bring up a list of all your pages that have been indexed and listed.
If Google have found you then so will all the other search engines and if all the above four search engines has found your website then you have no reason to get submitted to any others and here is why.

MSN |

As you can see if you submit to these 4 search engines you are covering at least 78%+ of the market and 14% of what you are not is Chinese.
I hopefully saved you some pennies and you now realise that if it becomes to difficult for you to create a seo sitemap, just keep building incoming links and your website will be found.
