Coming up with a niche idea always seems difficult.

Choosing a niche for a website you get to use tools to help you decide and know whether your idea will succeed or not. Which you get to use at the niche finder section.

Just think of 5 ideas that you are interested in, you have to be interested in it because you are going to need to write web pages based on it.

Take 5 niche idea’s or just ideas and follow the simple process below until you end up with 3 good themes you could base a website on.

Remember that you did not have to try and pick 5 niche ideas just 5 ideas that interested you.

 

How do we boil this down to 3 ideas.

Passion

This is a huge factor when building a website, you will find that if you have passion about an idea, then the motivation to succeed comes easy and the work load seems like fun.

If you base a website on something that you do not care about, you will struggle and it will become a burden in your life.

Interesting

Something that interests you is a bonus, it may take longer to do as you may have to learn about your niche idea.

You may need extra time researching, this is a slower process, but if it interests you then you should be enjoying yourself and not feel like you are back at school in an english lesson.

Knowledge

Having knowledge on your idea is a big bonus.

You do not need to research, you can sit down and type away until your eyes drop.

Having a theme based on something you know everything about will make life easier and your website will be up and running quicker than most.

Money Money Money

Now the majority of us want to make money online and the best way to do this is with a website.

Money needs to be a factor you include when making your descion. If you know all there is to know about killer ants, they interest you and the passion you have for these creatures make you crazy, just stop yourself before you jump in.

This is because and I am pretty certain that you would never really make a huge amounts of money from this. Unless you invented some kind of spray that turns them into beautiful butterflies and sold it from your website.

Go through your list of 5 ideas and rank them in order for all the above catergories seperately.

Then give your niche ideas points depending on what order you have placed them. 5 points for the top idea and 1 point for the bottom idea.

I always give an extra point for the winner of the passion catergory, because a persons passion for something can drive them to success more than anything else.

At the end of this exercise you can add the scores up and see which 3 come out on top.
