Why People Use Them
Quite a few people out there want to make money from adsense, so they use Googles tools to find top paying keywords and base a web page on that keyword. Google will then index your web page and will have established what that web page is about and produce related ads. Then as you have choosen Google's top paying keywords you will know that if anyone clicks on an advert on that web page you are going to receive more money for that click. Companies will pay good money to get their adverts in front of the competition.
The trouble with using these keywords while trying to rank high in search engines is that you will find it near off impossible.
Why? Because do you really think that these companies would be willing to pay high amounts of money for every click on their adverts if it was easy to just rank naturally for these keywords.
These keywords are very popular and the competition is very high. The only way they can get visitors to their websites is to pay for advertising.
Companies that can afford to pay £1 or more for every single click, I am sure have tried very hard to rank high for these keywords and most likely are still trying hard. Do you as a small business or an individual really think you can compete in search engines results for Google adsense top paying keywords?
The web page that you have chosen to base on a google top paying keyword will never rank high. What this means is that you will recieve no traffic from the search engines and no traffic means no clicks which means no money.
Base your webpages on long tail keywords and the traffic will flow and then you will get lots of clicks every day.
Once you have all the traffic you need flowing into your web pages, then moving visitors in the direction to other pages that you may have set up using Google adsense top paying keywords on is a good idea. But for seo purposes stay away from them.
